When ITV1's 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show' needed a star exhibit for its 'Pampered Pets' feature, they turned to Henny Penny Hen Houses!
Founder Penny Roberts explained 'It was just after one Monday lunchtime when I received a call from the show's production company asking if I could be in London in a week's time to be filmed with the great man himself - Alan Titchmarsh - in front of a live studio audience. Oh, and can I bring a hen house with me!
Ever one for a challenge, the automatic reply came 'Of course I can'! Penny went into full planning and preparation mode to ensure that everything (including The Chalet hen house painted in Farrow & Ball colours) was carefully transported to and from ITV's studios in London.
'Everyone was really helpful and friendly, and of course meeting Alan was great and he quickly put me at my ease. After all, it can be a bit nerve-wracking being on live TV going into the homes of millions of people. But we did it!
